Boat of Garten, along with Elgin, Grantown-on-Spey, Forres and Moray, is one of the 5 venues for the Speyside Golf Festival.

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands with the towering Cairngorm Mountains to the south and the River Spey skirting its fringe, there are few more sylvan settings than the Boat of Garten Golf Club. Heather and silver birch trees outline many holes with the chuffing of the nearby Strathspey Steam Railway adding a delightful nostalgic touch.

The Boat is an excellent test of golf with all the demands of a championship course contained within a compact parcel. In spite of a mere 6,000 yards on the card, the course plays much longer. Every hole is unique in character and requires thoughtful consideration. Beyond the rigours of golfing contest, there is something quite magical about an outing at ‘The Boat’, its stunning scenery, the 18 highly individual holes and optimum green conditions adding up to a rare and most memorable experience.
